"Silent Screams" (Stumme Schreie), directed by Johannes Fabrick, is about a young doctor, Jana (Natalia Belitski), who during her medical specialist training witnesses several cases of abused children and who experiences first hand how difficult it is to bring the culprits to justice and to protect the children.
On quite a different note, "The summer after graduation" (Der Sommer nach dem Abitur) by Eoin Moore tells the laconic and nostalgic story of three old friends (Bastian Pastewka, Fabian Busch and Hans Löw) who, having missed their graduation summer 20 years earlier, decide to make good their promise and go on a roadtrip to catch up on what they had missed.
